Aloo Chaat आलू चाट
Aloo Chaat ('आलू चाट') is the name of a street food item made in North India. It
is prepared by frying potatoes in oil and adding spices and chutney.
Aloo Chaat is a plate of savory snacks made from boiled and
fried cubed potatoes served with chat masala. The
word “Aloo” means potatoes in Hindi and the word “Chaat” is derived from Hindi
word Chatna, which means tasting. Thus, Aloo chat means savory potato snack.
Also spelled Alu Chaat.
6 medium size potatoes (aloo)
4 teaspoon chat
masala
3
tablespoons lime juice or tamarind
2
tablespoons ghee
2 tablespoons curd,
some, grilled chilley, ginger, coriander leaves for dressing etc.
1. Boil potatoes until done.
2. Peel and slice into ½ inch cubes.
3. Heat ghee in low-medium flame.
Add cubes potatoes and heat until golden brown.
4. Now take potatoes in one plate, mix fried potatoes with lime juice, ghee, chat masala, some curd, chilly flakes, coriander leaves & more which u can add for dressing.
Now your Aloo Chaat Is ready to Serve.....
